I've written some codes with the hopes that they would make my (and hopefully others') life easier. As I published my codes, I realized some people were actually using them. The idea of making it web-based service came to my mind so that there would be no need to set up environment of running codes, hence easier to use.

srt <> CSV

Both srt2CSV and CSV2srt are created for the sake of TED Open Translation Project. On the following services, you could convert srt content(s) into CSV format. They have been created in order to make the translation work(flow) smoother. While using those services, you can convert the srt files (which are available in, for example, dotSUB) into CSV file, which then can be imported to Google Docs (on which you can share the document with others). After some work, you can convert the Google Document back into a srt format, and directly import that to the dotSUB service (so no need to re-modify the same segment twice).

srt2CSV lets you convert srt content(s) into CSV format. You could copy-and-paste it to your local file, save it as a CSV file, and import that to Google Docs service.

You could also have your srt file with your translation. For example, the service can handle the following format of srt, which contains the translation. In this way, you can do your translation work on your local machine (and your facorite text editor) beforehand, and import it to Google Docs (No need to do the translation all in Google Docs!).

CSV2srt lets you convert CSV-formatted content back into srt format. In the dotSUB service, there is an import function for translator / reviewer. Once the reviewing phase has been ended between the translator and reviewer on the Google Docs, you can convert it into srt format (again, copy-and-paste to a file on your local machine), and use the import feature.
